In operation, the newly installed or newly built hearth type regenerative heating furnace should be dried before use to remove the water in the masonry. The operating procedures are as follows:

After the heating furnace is rebuilt, it should be placed at room temperature for 2 to 3 days and nights to naturally volatilize water to avoid short circuit when connected to electricity.

Check whether the outer wall of the furnace is well grounded. Only when the resistance is greater than 0.5MΩ can be powered on for baking.

Gradually increase from low temperature and stay at the following temperature for a specified time. Keep the furnace door open at 100～200℃ for 15～20h; keep at 300～400℃ for 8～10h and open the door; keep at 500～600℃ for 7～8h and close the door; keep at 700～800℃ for 6h and close the door.

Yinuo reminds that the residence time of small regenerative heating furnaces takes the lower limit, and the residence time of large furnaces takes the upper limit.
